Stacey Judith Rosales-Pelas was born, to Paco Rosales and Janice Brewer-Rosales, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in May of 1974. From her earliest memories Stacey was drawn to art. Gathering her inspiration from her childhood and life experinces. She grew up in Mexico, Tennessee, Arkansas and now her home of 27 years in Louisiana. Stacey would watch her surroundings with detail and take note of her Dad's sketches. Then try her hand at drawing and painting what she saw. During high school Stacey began her Art classes and started the learning process of Art. With her Mother's passing in 1999, Stacey decided to follow her Mom's advice. "Find, learn and live what you love most". It was then that Stacey truly started to explore her passion for Art.
Through her years at Southeastern LA University, Stacey expanded her devotion for all Arts. She explored photography, drawing, painting and pottery classes. She enjoyed all of her courses and decided to not just focus on one type of Art. Rather do all of them and have knowledge in what she loves. Stacey graduated in 2006 and is grateful for everything she studied in Art.
Today, Stacey spends her time painting, sewing, taking photos, making pottery and running her Art business. With all of this, she finds time to travel, swim, take walks, Jazzercise, relax and unwind with her husband Shannon. Whom she married in 2001, during a beautiful outdoor, afternoon ceremony, complete with only their closest relatives. Stacey's family is also most important to her (especially her sister, Jess) and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew. Stacey works out of her home studio in Gonzales where she lives with her hubby and little Malti-Poo, Shelby Madison.
Stacey's favorite medium is acrylic, to which she adds her own personal, unique touch. She enjoys painting custom pieces on slate, stone, canvas and pottery for her customers. Stacey is now in 14 stores and galleries in the New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette areas. Her work is perfect for that one of a kind, personal sentiment for anyone looking to give an original gift. Stacey is limitless with what she will come up next.
Stacey enjoys the ART of ART on any given day and appreciates the gift she was given to relay some of her talents upon others. She appreciates all kinds of artwork, enjoys old movies and inspirational music to reflect a piece of divine knowledge into her. "After losing both of my parents unexpectedly. I've taken what they taught me to heart. I truly see my painting as a spiritual experience and useful therapy to cope with that loss. It is what I live and breathe. I wish my Art to be a reflection of what I believe beauty is and what I hope for others to feel as well."
